5. The end of one word and the start of another

For anybody reading two or more words, the natural temptation is to pronounce each word independently. Otherwise, the result would be very different: as an obvious example, consider the difference in pronunciation (and meaning) between “justice” and “just ice”. Running two or more words into one another can be a good way of creating a link, as in these examples:

The Levante is a wind based in the Mediterranean (Easternly)
Times are hard....to earn a bit of extra cash at Easter, the Eleven team edit Iranian football highlights!

Archduke Franz Ferdinand assassin was Gavrilo Princip (which began the 1st World War)...
The group Franz Ferdinand, firstly gave real hope principally to Scottish music and ultimately to the World.

Taking the last syllable of a word and the first of the subsequent word gives you many more options and is very satisfying once spotted.
